Today, Rotech is still located in the heart of the Black Country and is able to offer a variety of routine mechanical and metallurgical tests supporting industrial and manufacturing customers not only in the Black Country, but across the UK. We continue to work with fastener and bolting manufacturers, steel fabricators, safety equipment manufacturers, and steel pressing and precision stamping customers, but this list is not exhaustive.
We owe a great debt to the staff who have worked at Rotech over the last one hundred years, most of whom live in and around the Black Country. Without every member of our excellent team, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
We asked our Operations Manager Dave Skeldon what Black Country Day means to him, and he said:
“I have always worked in the Black Country area, and I grew up here in Oldbury, so it has always been home to me. Our culture, history and identity is something that I am extremely proud of; our people are down to earth, straight-talking, and friendly, while our rich heritage has led the way for a new age of manufacturing processes and industries that forms a large part of our customer base. There’s nowt wrong with the Black Country, it’s bostin’!”
Happy Black Country Day, from the Rotech team.
